What to bring:

Conventional.

Any rod and reel you are most comfortable using. I can also supply high end rods and reels if needed.

Baits. YOUR confidence baits and any recommended at the time.

I also carry a mini tackle store with anything you would need.

FLY.

Be prepared for wind if fishing the lake or main river channel.

Your own fly rod outfits that you are comfortable with. The heaviest you are adept with if fishing for largemouth.

I will supply them if needed.

I will have extra leaders and tippets.

Any weight is fine if fishing the Salt River or Creeks.

Suggested Baits. Primarily your biggest baits for bass. Wooly Buggers, Streamers, Poppers, etc.

Propeller baits, frog and crawfish imitators.

Scale these down for other species. (see Fly Fishing page)

A FLY RECIPE section is under construction right now.

I also stock all baits needed as well as my own custom designs for this locale and habitat.

If live-bait fishing I provide all bait.

FOOD. Please bring your favorite snacks and beverage.  I supply water and ice.

HAT.

POLARIZED SUN GLASSES.

INSECT REPELLENT of choice.

Most bodies of water I fish by boat have toilet facilities accessible somewhere, if necessary, some don't .

It could be a 10 mile run to them though,  so adequate warning time is advised.

I don't fish unless requested or I need to demonstrate.

This is gentle, or flat water fishing. Though there can be fast currents, there is No Whitewater.

I fish some potentially hazardous waters and I am a hard-liner on safety.

Your safety is JOB ONE.

I have a no tolerance policy for non-prescription drugs or alcohol on my vessel.

I supply life jackets and they are mandatory when under power.

Eye protection is mandatory.

Liability Release is mandatory.

I have written, float plans, alternative take-out, and emergency policies & procedures.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
